    • Dr. Rajendra Prasad has a special interest in spine surgery and has a large experience of spine surgery for degenerative diseases like microdiscectomy for lumbar and cervical disc prolapse.
    • He is also expert in micro-surgical laminotomies for lumbar canal stenosis and spinal instrumentation using implants for spinal injuries, infections like Tb, tumours, spondylo-listhesis and cervical and lumbar artificial disc replacement. 
    • He has treated over 250 patients with low back and neck pain with Radio frequency (RF) Rhizotomy. This is one of the largest series in the country performed by a spine surgeon. This work has been presented at the American Congress of Neurological Sciences meeting in the USA.
    • He has also performed approximately 1500 microsurgical excisions of brain and spinal tumors,both intra and extra-axial. These include gliomas, acoustic tumors, pituitary tumors (Endoscopic Transnasal procedures) and giant meningiomas. 
    • He performed Asia’s first Robotic spine surgery using the da vinci robot at Apollo Hospital.
