- Dr A.K. Kriplani was one of the first few surgeons to introduce laparoscopic surgery in India, He was the first one to perform laparoscopic adrenalectomy, laparoscopic splenectomy and laparoscopic live donor nephrectomy for renal transplant in India.
- He specialises in HPB-related Cancer cases, complex Trauma Surgery, and Laparoscopy for unconfirmed abdominal problems.
- His expertise also includes Laparoscopic Oncology, Thyroid & Parotid Gland Surgery, & Removal of Appendix etc.
- He has trained hundreds of surgeons in laparoscopic surgery from India and adjoining countries like Nepal, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc.
