In 2006, Dr. Bhate received the Best Paper Award at the Indian Academy of Neurology conference for his paper titled “Sleep-related disorders in Idiopathic and young onset Parkinson’s disease.”
In 2011, Dr. Bhate was selected for the Indo US Science and Technology Forum Fellowship. He pursued a fellowship in Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders at NINDS/NIH, Bethesda, and THE USA under Mark Hallett.
In 2017, Dr. Bhate’s video titled “Pramipexole induced dystonia in Parkinson’s disease” received the Best Video award at the Movement Disorder Society of India conference.
