Dr. Dharma Choudhary is a highly skilled BMT Specialist with over 20 years of experience in his field. He is renowned for his patient-centric approach.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Dharma has performed over 1800 stem cell transplants, with a remarkable 1300 transplant procedures conducted independently on both pediatric and adult patients afflicted with hematological disorders.
He has earned accolades for establishing two significant Blood and Marrow transplant programs in Delhi and Mumbai, contributing to the advancement of transplant medicine in India.
Dr. Dharma’s areas of special interest encompass transplants for Hemoglobinopathies (Thalassemia Major & Sickle Cell disease), Bone Marrow failure syndrome (Aplastic anemia/Fanconi anemia), Haploidentical transplant, and Graft versus Host disease.
His educational journey includes post-graduation in Internal Medicine, DM in Clinical Hematology from AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi), and a Fellowship in BMT through the prestigious Leukemia/BMT Program of British Columbia, Canada.
Dr. Dharma is a dedicated life member of the Indian Society of Hematology & Transfusion Medicine (ISHTM), underscoring his commitment to the advancement of the field.

Started successfully Allogenic Bone Marrow Transplant program at Sir Ganga Ram hospital and Dr. B. L. Kapur Memorial Hospital, New Delhi.
Done more than 1000 Allogenic Bone Marrow Transplantation and 300 Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation independently. The majority of patients were Thalassemia Major, Acute Leukemia (Myeloid & Lymphoid), Aplastic Anemia Multiple Myelomas, and Lymphoma.
Perform transplants on both Pediatric and Adult patients on routine basis since training in Hematology includes all age groups.
Started largest Bone Marrow Transplant program in North India at Dr. B. L. Kapur Memorial Hospital. He has done more than 1200 stem cell transplants at this unit.
