    • He was later promoted to the position of Professor and continued to work at Vydehi Institute until 2022, accumulating a total of 14 years at the institution.
    • Bhaskar Viswanathan’s significant contributions include inventing Robotic image-guided brachytherapy for the treatment of Hepatic tumors, with phase 1 trials in progress.
    • He was instrumental in setting up a Nanoparticle research lab, with a project funded with 60 lakh rupees, where he worked on formulating Iron oxide (30nm) and Gadolinium nanoparticles for their induction hyperthermia potential in cancer treatment.
    • Additionally, he served as a cancer expert on the PRSG committee of the Department of IT, BT, and Electronics (DEITY) in the Government of India, overseeing research audit in Cancer nanotechnology research at IIT, Mumbai.
    • Bhaskar Viswanathan has made significant and diverse contributions to the fields of Radiation Oncology and Cancer Nanotechnology throughout his career.
